Independent Financial Adviser
About me
I came into the financial services industry in 1991 and have been an adviser ever since. Most of the last 30 plus years I am proud to have represented my clients’ interests as an Independent Financial Adviser. Independent status is important to me as it means that I have access to the whole marketplace of financial products and solutions, allowing me to ensure that I pick the very best of what is available to meet my clients’ needs and wants.
I have extensive experience in dealing with both individual and corporate clients mainly advising on Pension, Investment and Inheritance Tax Planning- but I do ensure that all my clients have access to a full holistic financial planning service to ensure that any financial structure we agree upon is built upon the firm foundations of life, severe or critical illness and income protection.
Away from work I am married with three grown up children and a relatively new doting grandparent to beautiful twin granddaughters, Callie and Sydney. I enjoy running and have completed 50 plus half and full marathons (14 Marathons, one Kilomathon (26.2 kms- 16 miles) and 39 half marathons), swimming, football and rugby union;- I played and coached for many years and now watch and commentate on Newcastle Falcons games for BBC Radio Newcastle. I am also a Director of Northumberland RFU and my local club, Ponteland RFC as well as an active rugby union referee.
