Rachel Drake
Independent Financial Adviser
I’ve worked in the profession since 2006, starting as an administrator for a local IFA firm at age 16, working through the initial financial planning exams and then further qualifications to achieve Chartered status by age 24. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience to draw on when advising clients and my work has included specialising in retirement, investment and taxation planning for academics and medical professionals.
To me, building strong relationships with my clients is essential. Familiarity and trust between adviser and client are the foundations of a great financial plan that, over the years, we develop and nurture together with the aim of building wealth and the future the client wants. Helping clients achieve the life they want is what I think my role is all about.
I am friendly, relaxed, analytical and driven to get the best outcomes for my clients. I can advise clients across a broad range of areas such as protection, pensions, retirement planning, investments and estate planning, with the support provided by the fantastic team at AFH Wealth Management allowing me to provide a truly holistic service to my clients.
Outside of work, I enjoy showing my two children, Darla and Cody, that the world is full of adventures. My own adventures include running the Loch Ness Marathon and skydiving from 18,000 feet.
